teams in our corporate office in Tulsa, OK, seeks a Permitting
Specialist to lead all aspects of entitlement and acquiring
Building, Zoning, Health and Site permits for facilities
nationwide. The Permitting Specialist will work closely with
multi-discipline project teams made up of architects, engineers and
project managers while building ongoing cooperative relationships
with state, county and city level Authorities Having Jurisdictions
(AHJ) to accomplish successful projects from project development
through project close out. The Permitting Specialist position
requires a leader with strong people skills, organization skills
and persistence. This role must also be able to differentiate,
prioritize, and manage a wide range of project types and processes
with multiple AHJ's at any given time.WHAT YOU'LL DO---Nothing is
'routine' here. Every day brings a new measure of excitement and
professional challenge. -- Conduct entitlement analysis at each AHJ
and research all submittal requirements for assigned projects--
Lead permitting efforts in properly submitting construction
drawings and associated information necessary to obtain all permits
needed for construction.-- Help respond to review comments and
resubmit revised drawings as needed, in a timely manner.-- Lead
permitting efforts in identifying and maintaining project permit
information over the life of a project from kickoff to construction
complete.-- Responsible for proactive communication and
relationship building with internal team members, Clients, and
contacts at each AHJ.-- Collaborate with and support all permitting
team members.-- Interact with Client document systems and
processes, obtaining Client approvals and signatures as needed in
the permitting process. -- Interact with AHJ document systems and
processes as needed throughout the permitting process on
projects.WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE---We're looking for self-starters
and eager learners. Beyond that, you'll need----- Associates degree
or Bachelors preferred -- A minimum of 5 years work experience in
building permit and site permit acquisition or entitlement -- A
general familiarity with building code compliance.-- A general
familiarity with facility construction and or architecture and
engineering.-- A strong desire to learn in a fast pace environment
-- Ability to research AHJ requirements by various methods such as
internet, phone, and mail.-- Ability to read and understand
construction drawings-- Strong communication skills-- MS Office
