Founded in 1990, Roxtec has become one of the most rapidly growing companies of its kind, averaging 30% annual growth over the past 10 years.The Production Planning Coordinator coordinates with our Fabrication Shop, Assembly, Waterjet, Customer Service, Logistics, and Shipping departments to provide a high level of customer service. This position is based in Tulsa, OK and reports directly to the Production Manager.Essential Job FunctionsCreate Shop Orders as required to fulfill customer orders, sample request, test samples & stock ordersCoordinate the purchasing of components and raw materials to meet due dates and agreed lead times with outside suppliers, including regular supplier follow-upProactively and professionally communicate Shop Order status to internal and external customers.Daily shop order scheduling, expediting & follow-up to assure completion of shop orders on scheduleDaily PO confirmation, follow-up & expediting from internal and external suppliers, communicate results to Sales and other departmentsAccurately review drawing requirements for Shop OrdersReceive Shop Orders, verify, and/or report material and work center timesCoordinate necessary drawings and technical information for shop orders.Create BOM's and Routings for manufactured parts in IFS and TCSetup and configure new custom parts and raw materials in IFSEvaluate make or buy decisions and take action based on cost & lead timeCoordinate with the warehouse to pick parts needed for shop ordersCoordinate with the order department on the delivery of customer ordersCoordinate the delivery of manufactured parts with the shipping dept.Other planning and logistics activities as requiredRequirementsGood mechanical aptitude requiredExcellent organizational, problem solving and follow-through skillsKnowledge of manufacturing, logistics concepts and business procedures relating to data entry, order delivery & shipping with a focus on customer service are desirable.Solution oriented personality who is customer focusedMust have strong attention to detail and accuracy with workMust be able to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment, be a self-starter with a sense of urgency and personal responsibility to support the flow of operationsRequires excellent communication skills both verbal and writtenEducation and ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalent, some college preferredManufacturing & planning experience or degree in business or related fieldMinimum 3 years with ERP systems experience, IFS a plusPhysical RequirementsRequired to wear PPE as neededPhysical Demands (reasonable accommodations may be made, if necessary):Physical AbilitiesStand - OccasionallyWalk - FrequentlySit - FrequentlyClimb - N/ACrawl - N/ASquat or Kneel - OccasionallyBend - OccasionallyFine Manipulation - OccasionallyReach Outward - OccasionallyReach Above Shoulder - OccasionallyDrive - OccasionallyLift /Carry10 lbs or less - Occasionally11-20 lbs - Occasionally21-50 lbs - Occasionallyover 50 lbs - N/APush / Pull10 lbs or less - Occasionally10-20 lbs - Occasionally20-50 lbs - OccasionallyOver 50 lbs - N/AN/A (Not Applicable) - Activity is not applicable to this occupationOccasionally - Occupation requires this activity up to 33% of the time (.25 - 2.5 hrs/day)Frequently - Occupation requires this activity from 33% - 66% of the time (2.5 - 5.5 hrs/day)NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
